Maya 3/8" Pro-Tipped Carbide Chainsaw Chain Reel - 25ft & 100ft Full Chisel

Designed for dirty and abrasive cutting conditions where standard chain loses its edge quickly.

Pro-Tipped carbide uses brazed tungsten carbide tips on a full-chisel cutter for improved wear resistance in contaminated timber such as burnt wood, demolition material and storm debris.

Important: Not designed for dense Australian hardwoods. For Ironbark, Red Gum, Grey Box or similar species, use Maya Endurance carbide.

Key Features

  • Carbide-tipped cutters for extended edge life in dirty and abrasive timber.
  • Full-chisel profile for fast cutting in lower density material.
  • Bulk reel for workshops, contractors and high-volume use.
  • Available gauges: .058" and .063"
  • Supplied with joiner links, preset tie straps and storage pouch.

Best Use

  • Storm debris and dirty logs
  • Demolition timber and rotten stumps
  • Softwood and Palms

Not Recommended For

  • Dense Australian hardwoods (Ironbark, Red Gum, Grey Box, Turpentine)
  • High-load cutting or large saws under heavy feed pressure
  • Clean timber where standard steel chain will cut faster

Reel Supply

Supplied in 25ft/100ft reels for cutting loops to suit your requirements.

  • 25ft reel: approx. 410 drive links
  • 100ft reel: approx. 1640 drive links

Sharpening & Maintenance

  • Sharpen with 7/32 diamond file or 4.7mm diamond grinding disc only.
  • Maintain raker height at .025" (0.65 mm).
  • Sharpen at the first sign of reduced cutting performance.
  • Inspect regularly in abrasive conditions.

Running a carbide chain blunt increases heat and load on the brazed joint and can lead to tip failure or detachment.

Important Usage Notes

  • Do not force the chain through the cut
  • Allow the chain to self-feed
  • Avoid chain bounce and impact loading
  • Keep chain sharp at all times
For extreme hardwoods, Maya Endurance carbide is the correct option. Its cutter design reduces cutting load and improves durability in high-density timber.

Safety

This is a non-safety chain with aggressive full-chisel cutters. For experienced operators only.
