How to order from outside Australia using a freight forwarder
Last updated: 22 July 2026
Whites Forestry Equipment currently ships orders only to addresses within Australia. Customers in the United States, New Zealand, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe and other countries may be able to order by using an independent freight forwarder with an Australian street address.
We deliver your order to the Australian address supplied by your freight forwarder. The forwarder then arranges the international shipment to your country.
Examples of Australian forwarding services include Jetkrate and AUSFF – Australia Freight & Parcel Forwarding. Other providers may also be available.
Important: These companies are independent third parties. Whites Forestry Equipment is not affiliated with, sponsored by or responsible for any freight forwarder. You must confirm that your chosen forwarder services your country and accepts the products you intend to purchase before placing an order.
For our Australian delivery terms, please see our Shipping Policy.
Before you order
Please confirm the following directly with your chosen freight forwarder:
- They deliver from Australia to your country or region.
- They accept the type, size and weight of the products you intend to purchase.
- The products are permitted for export from Australia and import into your country.
- They can transport any oils, aerosols, batteries, chemicals or other restricted products in your order.
- You understand their international freight, repacking, storage, insurance, customs and handling charges.
Step-by-step
- Choose and register with a freight forwarder. Select an Australian parcel-forwarding service that ships to your country. The forwarder will normally provide you with an Australian street address and a unique customer, suite or reference number.
- Confirm your products are accepted. Before ordering, give the forwarder details of the products, quantities, dimensions and weights where necessary. Some products may be restricted from air or international transport.
- Enter the forwarder’s address at checkout. Set the shipping country to Australia, use AUD as the checkout currency and enter the Australian address exactly as provided by the forwarder. Include your suite, account or reference number.
- Place your order with us. We process the order as an Australian domestic shipment and send it to the forwarder using Australia Post or an appropriate courier. You will receive tracking for delivery to the forwarder’s Australian address.
- The forwarder receives your parcel. The forwarder will normally notify you when the parcel arrives and may offer repacking, consolidation, storage, insurance and international delivery options.
- Arrange the international shipment. Select and pay for the onward international service directly with the forwarder. The forwarder will provide separate tracking for the international part of the delivery.
- Pay any import charges. You are responsible for all international freight costs, import duties, tariffs, taxes, customs charges, brokerage fees and carrier handling charges that apply in your destination country.
Australian delivery address format
Use the exact address format supplied by your forwarder. A typical example is:
First name Last name
Suite or Customer Reference #12345
c/o Your Freight Forwarder
Street Address
Suburb, State Postcode
Australia
Phone: Forwarder-provided phone number
Important: Always include your suite, customer or reference number exactly as issued. A missing or incorrect reference may prevent the forwarder from identifying your parcel and can cause delays, storage charges or return-to-sender costs.
Currency, GST and payment
- Orders placed through our website are charged in Australian dollars (AUD).
- Australian GST may apply because we are delivering the order to an address within Australia.
- Your bank, card provider or payment service may charge currency-conversion or international transaction fees.
- We do not collect international freight charges, import duties, tariffs, taxes or customs fees for the onward shipment.
Duties, taxes and customs
- You are responsible for checking the import rules that apply in your country before ordering.
- Any import duties, tariffs, taxes, customs-clearance charges, brokerage fees and carrier handling charges are payable by you to the forwarder, carrier or relevant authority.
- We do not estimate or guarantee the amount of any import charges.
- We do not under-declare product values or describe commercial purchases as gifts.
- For the onward international shipment, Whites Forestry Equipment is not the exporter or importer of record unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.
Our responsibility and the freight forwarder’s responsibility
- Our responsibility: We are responsible for processing your order and delivering it to the Australian address entered at checkout, subject to our Australian Shipping Policy.
- Delivery to the forwarder: Our delivery obligation is complete when the parcel is delivered to the nominated Australian forwarding address or otherwise delivered in accordance with your instructions.
- After Australian delivery: The forwarder acts as your agent for receiving, inspecting, storing, repacking, consolidating, exporting and delivering the goods internationally.
- Third-party services: We are not responsible for the forwarder’s pricing, storage fees, repacking, consolidation, documentation, insurance, handling, international transit times, customs processing, loss or damage after delivery to the Australian address, except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.
Product restrictions
Some products may be restricted or prohibited by freight forwarders, airlines, postal operators, customs authorities or destination-country laws. These may include:
- Aerosols and pressurised containers
- Oils, fuels, chemicals and other Dangerous Goods
- Batteries and battery-powered products
- Very long, heavy or oversize chainsaw bars and equipment
- Products containing timber or other materials subject to biosecurity controls
- Products restricted by local forestry, machinery, weapons or workplace-safety laws
You must confirm acceptance with your freight forwarder and check your country’s import requirements before placing an order. If a product cannot be transported internationally after it has been delivered to the forwarder, any return, storage, disposal or additional forwarding costs are your responsibility unless the issue resulted from an error by us.
Order changes and cancellations
Contact us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an order. We cannot guarantee that an order can be changed or cancelled after processing or dispatch has begun.
After an order has been delivered to your freight forwarder, any request to retrieve, redirect or return it must be arranged with the forwarder and may involve additional charges.
Returns and exchanges from outside Australia
- All approved returns must be sent to us in Australia.
- We can provide return labels only for eligible shipments originating from an Australian address, including your freight forwarder’s Australian address.
- Change-of-mind return and exchange costs, including international freight back to Australia, are your responsibility.
- You should consider using a tracked and insured service for international returns.
- Where goods are faulty, incorrectly supplied or otherwise covered by rights that apply to your purchase, contact us before arranging a return so we can assess the appropriate remedy and reasonable return arrangements.
- Any duties, taxes or charges paid in your country must generally be reclaimed from the relevant authority or carrier and cannot normally be refunded by Whites Forestry Equipment.
Tracking
You will normally receive two separate tracking numbers:
- Australian tracking: Supplied by Whites Forestry Equipment for delivery from us to the Australian freight-forwarder address.
- International tracking: Supplied by your freight forwarder for delivery from Australia to your destination country.
Questions about the Australian delivery should be directed to us. Questions about repacking, export, customs clearance or international delivery should be directed to your freight forwarder.
Frequently asked questions
Do you ship directly outside Australia?
No. Our website currently accepts delivery addresses within Australia only. Customers outside Australia may use an independent Australian freight forwarder.
Can you recommend a freight forwarder?
We do not endorse a specific provider. Jetkrate and AUSFF are examples only. You should compare destination coverage, product restrictions, pricing, insurance, support and delivery options before choosing a provider.
Can a freight forwarder purchase the goods for me?
Some forwarders offer a purchasing, concierge or “buy for me” service. Availability and charges must be confirmed directly with the provider.
Can I use my overseas billing address?
Your billing information must match the requirements of your payment provider. The shipping address must be the Australian address supplied by your freight forwarder.
Why am I charged Australian GST?
The order is delivered by us to an address within Australia. Australian GST may therefore apply even though the forwarder later exports the goods.
Can you complete customs forms for the onward shipment?
The freight forwarder is responsible for the documentation required for the onward international shipment. We can provide a commercial invoice or product information relating to your original purchase where reasonably required.
What happens if my forwarder refuses the parcel?
Contact the forwarder and us immediately. Any return freight, storage, address-correction or handling costs may be deducted from a refund where the refusal was not caused by an error on our part.
Who should I contact if the international parcel is delayed or lost?
Once the parcel has been delivered to the Australian freight-forwarder address, enquiries and claims for the international shipment must be made through the forwarder.
