Important Chain Length Notes (Installation & Tension Range)

• 20" (SN20-63VQ):
  • Takes 65DL chain for installation only when clutch c-clip & rim sprocket are removed to loop the chain; refit before operation.
  • 66DL tensions at approx. 85% of adjuster travel (near maximum).
• 25" (SN25-63VQ):
  • Takes 76DL chain for installation only when clutch c-clip & rim sprocket are removed to loop the chain; refit before operation.
  • 77DL tensions at approx. 85% of adjuster travel (near maximum).

Note: Adjuster range varies with rim size, bar wear and saw setup. Always reinstall the clutch c-clip and rim sprocket before running the saw.

.404" Drive-Link Counts & Weights

Drive-link (DL) counts are sourced from GB Forestry Australia and assume a standard 7-tooth .404" rim sprocket. Required DL can vary with rim size (7T vs 8T), spur sprockets, saw model, bar wear and chain type. Always confirm against your existing chain and setup before ordering.

• Confirm rim size — an 8-tooth rim generally adds 1–2 drive links.
