Why Use Diamond Files?
- Designed specifically for sharpening tungsten carbide cutting edges
- Provides controlled material removal for regular touch-ups
- Helps maintain a smooth and consistent cutting edge
How to Use
- Thoroughly clean and degrease the chain before sharpening.
- Allow the chain to dry and secure it firmly.
- Follow the existing cutter angle and profile.
- Use light, even pressure and the same number of strokes on each cutter.
Diamond sharpening tools must be used on tungsten carbide cutters. Conventional chainsaw files and standard grinding wheels are not suitable for sharpening the carbide cutting edge.
Depth gauges or rakers are steel and should be maintained separately using a suitable flat file and depth-gauge guide.
