Maya .325" × .063" Full-Chisel Tipped Carbide Chainsaw Chain
The Maya .325" Full-Chisel Tipped Carbide Chain is engineered for long life, reduced sharpening frequency and reliable performance in abrasive or dirty cutting conditions. Featuring a brazed tungsten carbide-tipped full-chisel cutter, this chain is built for users who need durability well beyond what standard steel chains can offer.
The tungsten carbide insert, fused to the leading edge of each cutter, is nearly twice as dense as steel and significantly more wear-resistant—delivering 3–4× longer cutting life between sharpening. Ideal for firewood, storm debris, stumps and timber with dirt or contamination where regular chains dull rapidly.
Key Features:
- Chain Type: Full-Chisel Tungsten Carbide Tipped
- Pitch: .325"
- Gauge: .063" (1.6 mm)
- Raker Height: .025" (0.65 mm)
- Cutter Profile: Full chisel for fast, aggressive cutting
- Brand: Maya
Applications:
Ideal for cutting:
- Softwood and medium-density hardwoods (15%+ moisture content)
- Burnt, dirty or treated timber and stumps
- Firewood processing, storm clean-up and high-debris conditions
Avoid use on Ironbark, Grey Box, Red Gum, Turpentine or similar ultra-hard species.
High-impact loads may cause tungsten tips to break or shear brazed welds.
Tipped carbide chains also cut approximately 20% slower than standard steel chains.
For extreme hardwoods, consider Maya ST low-kickback carbide or a premium steel chain.
Sharpening & Maintenance:
- Use diamond-coated files or discs (150-micron grit recommended) only
- Maintain factory raker height: .025" (0.65 mm)
- Use steady feed pressure—avoid prying or levering into the cut
- Do not run dull—excess heat increases risk of carbide tip failure
Custom Sizes Available:
We can supply custom chain loops to suit any bar. If your drive link count is not listed, simply message us and we’ll cut it to length from 100ft rolls.
⚠️ Safety Warning:
This is a non-safety chain with aggressive full-chisel cutters. For use only by experienced chainsaw operators trained in kickback control.
❌ Not Recommended For:
- High-powered saws (excess torque increases tip failure risk)
- Dense Australian hardwoods (green or dry)
Brazed carbide tips can detach under extreme loads or heat—choose your chain according to timber type and saw power.
