Essential maintenance tool for sprocket nose chainsaw bars. Regular greasing reduces heat, friction and premature tip wear, particularly under high-speed or heavy cutting conditions.

  • Compact pump-action grease gun designed for lubricating chainsaw bar sprocket noses.
  • Spring-loaded plunger delivers grease directly into the bar tip for effective penetration.
  • Heavy-duty steel nozzle ensures a secure, positive fit in standard grease ports.
  • Durable polypropylene body with translucent finish allows quick visual check of grease level.
  • Pre-loaded with approximately 1.5oz (42.5g) of grease.
  • Refillable design suitable for workshop or field use.
  • Helps reduce friction, heat build-up and wear to extend bar and sprocket life.
  • Compatible with most sprocket nose guide bars fitted with grease ports.

Scope of Supply:
1 ร— hand-operated grease gun (pre-loaded with grease)

Instructions for Use

  1. Clean the sprocket nose area and grease port to remove dirt and debris.
  2. Insert the steel nozzle firmly into the barโ€™s grease port.
  3. Pump the plunger until fresh grease appears around the sprocket tip.
  4. Rotate the chain by hand while applying grease to ensure even distribution.
  5. Wipe away any excess grease before operating the saw.

Maintenance Tips

  • Grease the sprocket nose regularly during use, especially under heavy load or extended cutting.
  • Apply grease at least once per fuel fill for best results.
  • Always grease after cleaning or servicing the bar.
  • Store the grease gun clean and capped to prevent contamination.

Air Lock Note:
All grease tools can develop air locks, restricting grease flow. Remove cap and press plunger until grease fills the chamber, then refit cap and continue use.

Refilling Tip:
Introduce air in front of the plunger using a very fine flat blade screwdriver to break vacuum and assist with plunger removal. Refill with EP-O specification grease.

Note: Only required for bars with a greaseable sprocket nose. Not all modern bars require greasing.
