Double Skip-Tooth chain has two additional drive links between each cutter, resulting in significantly fewer cutting teeth. This design is intended for chainsaw milling applications using long guide bars, including chainsaw mills and Lucas-style mills. The increased spacing between cutters improves chip clearance and reduces cutting load, helping the powerhead maintain chain speed under sustained milling conditions.

Double Skip-Tooth chain is intended for use on long bars only. When used on short bars, the reduced number of cutters can cause excessive vibration or severe chain chatter and is not recommended.

Ripping chain is a standard chainsaw chain factory sharpened to a 10-degree cutting angle. It is designed specifically for cutting with the grain and is commonly used for milling, slabbing, and ripping posts. Compared with standard 30-degree cross-cut chain, it produces a smoother finish when ripping. Not recommended for cross-cutting.
