Tungsten Carbide saw chain is suited for dirty cutting conditions that quickly blunt conventional steel chains. Carbide saw chain holds an edge up to 5-6 times longer than a steel saw chain but generally cuts 10-15% slower than a steel chain in clean cutting conditions. Carbide is sharpened with files or discs coated with industrial diamond.

Maya OR Tungsten Carbide Tipped cutter is an economically priced carbide tipped chain available in full or semi chisel. It’s a medium cutting speed chain, ideal for cutting soft and medium density dirty wood with greater than 15% moisture content. Due to its small carbide tip being diagonally braze welded Maya OR full chisel is not recommended for cutting dense dry hardwood species and not recommended for high speed applications that create excessive friction and vibration, including use on high powered chainsaws over 70cc.
